Orlando is Virginia Woolf's sixth novel and was her most commercially and critically successful work during her lifetime. Published on October 11th, 1928, the book is a satirical biography inspired by Woolf's lover, Vita Sackville-West, as well as a humorous history of English literature. The novel details the life of Orlando, a young man born into nobility during the Elizabethan age.
