Percy Shelley was one of the major players in the Romanticist movement, and his poems are widely considered to be some of the finest examples of lyric and epic poetry. Though Shelley did not enjoy fame or popular acclaim during his lifetime, his work is now well regarded for its literary and poetic elements as well as its radicalism.
