Sure Thing is one of the six short plays that comprise David Ives's well-known series All in the Timing. Two characters, Bill and Betty, meet in a café; every time a bell rings, their approaches and answers to each other change at different points in the conversation, until finally the bell-based alterations lead them to become perfect matches for each other.
