Objective:
Students will engage with unfamiliar words and create a glossary based on the text.
Common Core Standards:
CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RL.9-10.4
Structure:
In this activity, students will create a glossary to accompany their reading of Poe’s stories. This glossary should be designed to not only help students with future stories, as Poe sometimes relies on repeating certain words to make his point, but also to prepare for final exams and essays.
