Manila’s music scene was set ablaze as the American rock band Turnover took the stage at the Skydome SM North EDSA on August 31. Despite the rainy weather that night, fans gathered to witness a one-of-a-kind, intimate show that left everyone with lasting memories.

The cozy atmosphere of the venue, enhanced by dim lighting, set the perfect mood for a night of soul-stirring music. Turnover, known for their emotionally charged songs, captivated the crowd from the moment they stepped onstage. The band wasted no time and launched into their set with one of their hit songs, Tears of Change, captivating the audience from the very first note.

Lead singer Austin Getz, clearly moved by the enthusiastic reception, greeted the crowd with a heartfelt “Mabuhay” and expressed gratitude multiple times. “We appreciate you for coming,” he added, stating that it was their third time to perform in the Philippines.

The band showcased their musical prowess and emotional depth, playing a selection of tracks from their latest album. Stone Station, Myself in The Way and Mountains Made of Clouds transported the audience to a world of heartfelt lyrics and enchanting melodies.

As the night progressed, the crowd’s enthusiasm only grew stronger, reaching a fever pitch during the performance of New Scream. The entire venue echoed with the voices of fans singing their hearts out, creating an electric atmosphere that left no doubt about the band’s impact on their Filipino fans.

The energy in the room reached its peak when Turnover performed Dizzy on the Comedown, their most streamed track on Spotify. The audience sang along enthusiastically, their voices blending with the band in a harmonious chorus of passion and emotion, making the ground shake with their jumping and jamming. Turnover continued to enchant the audience with tracks like Pure Devotion and Plant Sugar. Throughout the night, Turnover treated their Filipino fans to a mix of old and new tracks.

To close the show on a high note, Turnover continued for an encore, performing Take My Head. This final act of the evening sent the crowd into a frenzy, creating a near mosh pit of excitement. As the final notes of the song rang out, everyone erupted in applause, demanding one more song. Although the rainy weather persisted outside, the warmth and energy inside the Skydome were undeniable, creating an unforgettable experience for all.
