A fashion and accessories designer who won a citation in a national Swatch design contest, Deni finished a course in Management of Luxury Brands and Companies from Universita Bocconi in Milan, Italy. She obtained Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, cum laude, from the University of Santo Tomas; and has Master in Communication Research and Broadcast Journalism units from the University of the Philippines-Diliman. She also has an associate degree in Patternmaking and Dressmaking from Slim's Fashion and Arts School.
