Bohol illegal drug den dismantled,3 arrested
CEBU, Philippines — Authorities have destroyed a drug den during their buy-bust operation in Purok 3, Barangay Booy, Tagbilaran City, Bohol and arrested arrest of three individuals.
The operation was jointly conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Bohol Provincial Office, Naval Forces Central and Tagbilaran City Police Station on Monday afternoon.
The subject of the operation was a 23-year-old call center agent identified as Andrew Michael Sta. Catalina, the maintainer of the drug den.
Together with Sta. Catalina, other persons arrested were Joshua Antoque, 24, a watch repair man, and Mike Pagatpat Lunasin, 30, a lending collector.
The operatives confiscated four packs of suspected shabu weighing 11 grams worth P74,800, buy-bust money, cellphones and various drug paraphernalia.
It took a month for the case buildup done by PDEA-7 after receiving information about the illegal movement of those arrested.
Authorities also found that the suspects can dispose of five grams per week.
The evidence obtained has been submitted to the laboratory for chemical analysis and proper disposition.
The suspects are scheduled to be charged with violation of Sections 5, 6, 7, 11 and 12, Article II of Republic Act 9165. — (FREEMAN)
